Entrance and a guided tour is included. We continue to Wicklow and a visit to Wicklow’s Historic Gaol to experience prison life as it was endured by its 18th century inmates.

Day 1 –
After taxi pick ups from home and local pick-ups in Portsmouth, travel to Pembroke for the ferry to Ireland and straight to your main hotel in Enniscorthy with porterage on arrival.
Day 2 –
Today we travel to Ireland’s oldest Viking city with the Viking Triangle displaying the magnificent treasures of medieval Waterford. On the way we make stop at the Dunbrody Famine Ship, centred on an authentic reproduction of an 1840’s emigrant vessel, providing a world-class interpretation of the famine emigrant experience. A guided tour is included with a costumed guide.
Experience the House of Waterford Crystal with a guided factory tour with access to all areas of traditional crystal production, before free time to explore the historic centre of Waterford. Return to the hotel for a Guinness Pulling Demo, Guinness Themed Dinner and entertainment from Seanchi Folk Band.
Day 3 –

Day 4 –
This morning is a Half Day Tour to the John F. Kennedy Park and Arboretum, established in 1968 as a living memorial to President John F. Kennedy. This is a magnificent park showcasing plants of international standing with 4,500 types of trees and shrubs from all temperate regions of the world. There is also a fine Visitor Centre, displays a permanent exhibition on the life and achievements of the late President John F. Kennedy. Six different counties can be seen from the spectacular viewing points on nearby Slieve Coillte.
Return to the hotel, spend the afternoon exploring Enniscorthy, famed for its friendly atmosphere and natural beauty. Perhaps visit Enniscorthy Castle, the Cathedral or the 1798 National Rebellion Centre, an award winning centre offering a fascinating insight into the birth of modern democracy in Ireland. All are within walking distance of the hotel.
Prepare yourself for the night ahead and our Tastes of Wexford Evening. Armed Pike Men march you in to dinner where the staff are in traditional old costume. Enjoy a 3 course buffet dinner, featuring displays of local produce and end the night with live entertainment from the Reeling in the Years band.
Day 5 –
Today we make our way up to Dublin, giving you a full day to explore. The coach will drop you in the centre of Ireland’s capital, leaving you free to explore the many sites including the Castle, The Guinness Storehouse, St Patrick’s and Christchurch Cathedrals, The Book of Kells and Trinity College, Dublin Castle and EPIC – The Irish Emigration Museum, not missing Templebar for a tipple. We suggest a Hop On / Hop Off bus to start your day (ticket not included) so you can get your bearings.
Day 6 –
Our last day in Ireland’s Ancient East is a great way to relax and enjoy the end of your tour. We make our way to Kilkenny, Ireland’s most historic and compact city, with medieval heritage and an impressive castle which dominates the city. We have included The Smithwick’s Experience at Smithwicks Brewery with a tour and ale tasting. Immerse yourself in the story of Smithwick’s, told as only a local knows how, where 300 years of history combine with extraordinary brewing innovations, to create the tour – an experience like no other.
Day 7 –
After an early breakfast, we begin the journey home. Taxis will be waiting at the ferry to take you home.
