Although the name is used loosely to refer to the part of Gloucestershire between Servern and Wye, The Forest of Dean has covered a smaller area since medieval times!
The Brecon Beacons is a mountain range in South Wales, in a narrow sense the name refers to a range of old red sandstone peaks which lies to the South of Brecon.
