IOW Tours has arranged EXTRA NIGHTS
with GREAT EXPERIENCES
Arrive on Thursday and settle in a day early – we have arranged a group meal with a menu designed for the season. The coach shuttle is available on the Thursday as we feel sure there will be quite a few members who will take up this offer.
On Friday there is a trip out to The Peak District with a guided tour to see the best of this most scenic countryside.
We have arranged IOW Tours favourite Blue Badge Guide to be with you – Helen Outram who is up for the 2024 Blue Badge Guide of the UK Award for 2024.
The Peak District is full of wonderful places to visit – with small picturesque villages and bustling market towns scattered across a scenic landscape well worthy of its National Park status. Travel on less well known roads seeing the spectacular views this area has to offer. Well planned stops with plenty to see and do and a light hearted commentary of the places of interest on the way.
Visit Buxton & Bakewell, with a stop to the Original Bakewell Pudding Shop - with a Bakewell ‘Pudding’ Tart tasting with tea & a talk on its origins included in your day.
We invite you to stay Sunday Night at a discounted rate of just £65pp with a Hot Buffet Dinner and Breakfast and (of course) Geoff’s Big Quiz with Fun & Games during the evening – a great way to round off your Conference!
The coach trip out on Sunday is once again going to be something very special.
Board the coach for a day to Chatsworth House, home to the Dukes of Devonshire.
Chatsworth House has long been known as a centre for creativity and features art and artefacts that span 4,000 years. Explore the stately home, including the Painted Hall, State Rooms and Sculpture Gallery. One of Chatsworth’s experts brings the visit to life with an introduction tour of the house.
Discover the history of the Devonshire family and how seventeen generations have each contributed to the creation of one of Derbyshire's finest country houses. The 105-acre garden is the product of nearly 500 years of careful cultivation and includes an arboretum, rock garden, fountains, sculptures and more.
Afternoon Entrance & Guided Tour included. On top of this in the morning you will take a scenic tour through the South Peak District, visiting Matlock Spa with coffee & cake included.
Please Note: Extra Nights and Coach Trips Out are an extra cost and are not included in the main package.
